Inspiration
80 trillion market cap is estimated as yield from Ai/self driving by around 2030 accoridng to Ark Invest. xSynth Connected iDrive seeks to capitalize on this ecosystem.
What it does
xSynth Connected iDrive, embodied ai mini-ecosystem, a 3d humanoid/conversational friend/helpful assistant utilizing IBM's Ai infrastructure to do:
a. Voice synthesis/voice detection b. Return answers based on user speech
xSynth Capacity:
- Hold friendly conversations (Implemented)
- Provide utility assistance for notifying driver of nearest garage in time of urgency (Implemented Partially)
- Provide utility assistance for notifying driver of nearest police
- Provide utility assistance for notifying driver of nearest hospital
- Provide xSynth ecosystem via independent tablet, connected via Flow Yaad and Road Service (Internet connectivity ~anywhere). This will integrate with Android based Car Consoles (which encompasses many manufacturers). Additionally, we aim to offer an independent mountable tablet with the capacity to handle Flow Jamaica's Nano Sim Cards, which enables internet connectivity to facilitate xSynth's functions.
How I built it
Unity3d, C# including custom shader adjustments to enable compatibility/rendering on Honda Civic. Without these adjustment, the Honda Civic renders a blank screen.
Challenges I ran into
Unity3d compiled apks, don't render environement by default on the Honda Civic's console.
As a result, the customized ibm cloud 3d humanoid I used, had to be adjusted.
The standard ibm cloud agent example was replaced with my own 3d humanoid agent, and a custom skill system was also created to relate to Honda civics in particular.
What's next for xSynth Connected iDrive
Build out the other functions, including emergency nearest-neighbour/hospital calling etc.
