xrpl encrypted messaging

Inspiration

The idea of creating an encrypted chat application where users can include private information alongside payments and possibly play games.

What it does

Sends encrypted memos using low cost transactions.

How I built it

Challenges I ran into

I have never done any web development and also never developed with node.js or the xrpl prior to this. I would say the learning curve in multiple areas was the biggest challenge of this project.

Accomplishments that I am proud of

I built what could very well be the beginnings of the app I envision in my head. I definitely see the completion of this project being a great possibility.

What I learned

I have a basic to good understanding of all the tools I am using now, so that is possibly the greatest takeaway from all of this. I learned that the xrpl holds true to its fast and secure way of delivering payments and that the possibilities are endless as to what can be created using it.

What's next for xrpl encrypted messaging

Depending on community interest I will continue development immediately. Otherwise this project will be put on hold for the time being.
