Inspiration
We have all experienced those moments in meetings where we thought everyone was aligned, only to discover later that we weren’t. Or when discussions dragged on unnecessarily because of differing communication styles, even though everyone was essentially saying the same thing. Now, imagine if we could share exactly what’s in our minds, visually, right on the table.
What it does
XReveal brings ideas to life by generating 2D and 3D assets through voice commands. Powered by AI, it enables anyone (regardless of design or artistic skills) to visually share their thoughts. This XR tool addresses common collaboration challenges by aligning ideas in real time, streamlining communication, reducing meeting times, and making teamwork more efficient and seamless.
How we built it
- Brainstormed with whiteboards and sticky notes.
- Designed in Figma.
- Developed in Unity using OpenAI (speech transcription) and Meshy API (3D asset generation).
Challenges we ran into
Balancing work on the project during the holiday season was a challenge, with all the fun life events happening around us.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Although the features and design aren’t perfect due to time constraints, we are proud to have built a functioning prototype that demonstrates the core concept.
What we learned
We validated the potential impact of XReveal through our own meetings. Initially, we struggled to align our ideas, which reinforced how valuable this tool can be for collaboration.
What's next for XReveal
Next, we aim to revisit the original problem hypothesis and conduct concept validation using Design Thinking. Once we refine the problem and understand our target users’ needs, we will return to the product to enhance its features, ensuring it delivers a bigger impact when fully developed.
