Time to Xpand your manufacturing influence and effectiveness.

Inspiration

Once we landed on a manufacturing target, we gained inspiration from much of the great stock imagery we found and used. The main colors we went with came from some of those images. The name “Xpand” is of course based on the word “expand”, which is a synonym of “manufacturing”.

What it does

This theme brings clean design with some unique elements so the whole site is not “boxy” everywhere, also bringing in enough animation elements to keep it interesting without being distracting. This is built to easily be able to showcase services or products in the manufacturing or other industrial spaces.

How we built it

I use the CLI when building a theme. The boilerplate is always a reference point of course.

Challenges we ran into

Getting everything to be as flexible and customizable as possible is always the challenge, but I believe I’m getting better at it with each new build… and the continual changes from the HubSpot end makes it easier over time as well. Adding features like style fields and drag/drop to the blog have been very helpful for our development.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I’m proud that this site doesn’t look like every other website. It’s unique without being over the top. I’m also proud of the customization ability that is included.

What we learned

I actually had more success with this theme than previous ones regarding the connection of default theme elements to custom module style fields.

What's next for Xpand

I will definitely be continuing the development of this theme. Next will be a handful of additional themes, along with more supporting modules of course. I’ll be adding another landing page or two as well as at least one thank you page. The next pages will likely be a resources page and a team member / about us page.
