Xonnected

Inspiration:

The XRPL community being very inclusive and welcoming in general was an inspiration for our project as thought why not build a community town square where we can all come together on the XRP Ledger

What it does:

Its a community space where everyone can be a content creator that share all their content for free, have a user subscription option where community members' can view all their posts, or subscribe to specific private posts of a particular content creator.

How we built it:

This app was build using: Nextjs, Nodejs, React-Typescript, MongoDB, Recoil

Challenges we ran into:

Sadly we came across the hackathon pretty late so didn't have the time to implement our subscription model fully. Initial plan was to allow the following subscription models: weekly, monthly and annually - and allow the opportunity to unsubscribe anytime. One time permanent subscription was implement.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are pleased with the MVP giving the limited amount of time we had building this project from scratch.

What we learned

We definitely learned that without open source developer contributors it would have been nearly impossible to build this application to stage we managed to get it and we definitely look forward to continuing to contribute to the XRPL open source world so we can attract more projects to the XRPL.

What's next for Xonnected

Definitely look forward to expanding our app and hope to launch it for real world public consumption.
