Inspiration

I was just searching through the Prizes part of the Global Hack Week and I found this exercise fun and interesting.

What it does

It uses the XKCD API to get back random comics, the user is able to get the next, the previous, the first and the last comics, and also can search with an ID number for a specific comics.

How we built it

I built it alone using creating-react-app.

Challenges we ran into

It was very challenging to be able to make the api work because of CORS problems. Also it was challenging to be able to include a nice loading animation.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I am very proud of the whole project, because I am a beginner and I learned about APIs not long ago, about two weeks ago, and now I feel confident enough to solve a little project like this in about 4 hours.

What we learned

I learned a lot about react and how everything builds up in a project.

What's next for XKCD Comic App

I don't think that I am going to change this later.
