Inspiration
The project was birthed due to how well individuals forge certificates or credentials for jobs/positions they are not qualified for.
What it does
The application helps individuals create certificates that can be verified on the blockchain. It also allows individuals to mint a certificate through a custom URL.
How we built it
We started with the server and then moved to the creation of the UI to send API requests to fetch and save information gotten from the frontend and lastly the smart contract interaction.
Challenges we ran into
We ran into power and network outages
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Honestly, building Xertis is our biggest accomplishment from the smart contract interaction to the server interaction, all was something we are happy to setup.
What we learned
You can build great things with a group of friends who want to get things done.
What's next for Xertis
- University degree integration
- Customize the certificates created as SBTs.
- UI improvements such as adding a revenue section.
- Integrate other blockchains
- Add a verification page
