SunSeeker aims to help all those who don't want their vacation ruined by the weather.
SunSeeker incorporates different APIs and ai technologies to predict the ideal destination for the users desired vacation type
We built it using java and the following APIs: OpenMeteo, GPT, Unsplash Images, TravelMyth API
The most prominent challenges we faced are problems regarding the cross-refrence between user-desired weather and destination- weathers, using gpt embeddings and issues reagrding the GUI development using javafx.
The use and handling of multiple "phrase" inputs, to determine the ideal destination
We learned that using AI technologies is not just about making technically "perfect" requests, but that the main issue is the way we use the AI produced outputs to solve real-world problems
We would like to include in our app a TripAdvisor API for producing information about each destination to the user, and a flights API, to provide air ticket prices
