Yet, prevailing platforms have perpetually grappled with challenges surrounding data privacy, centralized dominion, and non-transparent monetization strategies. X̅ Universe emerged from a profound aspiration: to recalibrate the balance of power—giving autonomy back to users and content creators, ensuring transparent, ethical, and equitable revenue models.

What it does

X̅ Universe isn't just another social networking platform—it's a revolution. Anchored to the Ethereum blockchain, it not only lets users create, share, and engage with content but also rewards them for their digital footprint. At the heart of this ecosystem lies the XUniverseToken (XUT). Whether you're crafting content, or merely engaging with posts, you earn XUT. Beyond just being a digital asset, XUT can be traded, staked, or even utilized for diverse benefits within the platform. In X̅ Universe, data is sacrosanct—users have unparalleled control, and creators are rewarded, not exploited.

How we built it

Our foundation is Solidity, powering our smart contracts and orchestrating both the platform's dynamics and the XUniverseToken functionalities. The user-facing portal is crafted with the trinity of web development: HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, which seamlessly integrates with Ethereum through web3.js. Leveraging OpenZeppelin's libraries, we've sculpted our token to align with the ERC-20 standard, ensuring robustness and security.

Challenges we ran into

Our journey wasn't without its fair share of challenges. Ethereum's infamous scalability conundrums and oscillating transaction costs were significant roadblocks. Our response was twofold: meticulous optimization of our smart contracts and a relentless exploration of layer 2 solutions. Marrying intuitiveness with the intricate world of blockchain was another Herculean task, demanding countless iterations to perfect the user experience.
