How we built it
We leveraged an open-source program called transcripTonic, which provided us with the capability to read and analyze meeting transcripts. We built upon this foundation to offer statistics, pointer notes, and actionable insights directly to the user, all through our user-friendly Chrome extension.
Challenges we ran into
A huge challenge we ran into when working on "Wait Your Turn" (WYT) was integrating the OpenAI API directly on the client side, without a backend. We needed to ensure the extension was efficient and privacy-conscious, all while operating smoothly on various devices. This pushed us to innovate and utilize advanced web technologies to bring WYT to life. Despite the hurdles, our dedication to improving meeting dynamics through AI-driven insights helped us overcome these technical obstacles, resulting in a powerful, user-friendly tool.
