Inspiration

Wyoming has led the charge in individual freedom since its inception. Now, with the blockchain-friendly legislation that has just been passed here in Wyoming, innovators from all over the country are coming to Wyoming to incorporate and run their state of the art DAOs.

The main inspiration for us was the entire WYOHackathon experience, from the legislative panels to the DAO Day and Law Con. We were able to tap into the multiple disciplinary discussions and environments, and bring those elements to the table to craft this project.

What it does

During the hackathon we have deployed a functional DAO on the NEAR protocol, and registered this entity as a DAO LLC with the state of Wyoming.

The DAO allows participants to partake in the future space economy in Wyoming and beyond. From governance to creating, managing, and funding new organizations in the emerging space industry.

How we built it

Our DAO governance layer is built on top of the NEAR protocol with the AstroDAO client, which makes the creation of DAOs intuitive and frictionless.

Challenges we ran into

Human biological limitations. Internet issues. Coffee acquisition, logistics and planning.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

It's a surreal experience to attempt to distill all of our accomplishments from this week.

We deployed the first Space based DAO LLC in Wyoming on Sept 25, 2021 on the same day as the Cardano Summit and the day the Governor signed a declaration for 21-26 as Blockchain Stampede Week.
