Unfortunately, Google maps api could not replace our dx experience and styling capabilities of mapbox. Too much crashing on mobile, inability to put custom layers on map on the level we need is still a big flaw in google maps. Geocoding is however a pleasure to use and currently integrating with mapbox is working well.
