Inspiration
Wuthering Wigs was inspired by a line I heard in an interview when someone said that eventually, you either pick up the wig and do drag or pick up the dumbbell and go the opposite route. That was around the time of this hackathon and the lyrics just poured out from that funny sentiment. I wanted to match the lyrics to equally off-kilter visuals and made exaggerated scenarios in Midjourney. The song was created in Udio.
How we built it
Lyrics & concept were written first, based on the interview quote. Music was composed and produced in Udio. Visuals were created in Midjourney to match the exaggerated tone of the song.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Achieving a distinct aesthetic, camp, surreal, and theatrical that feels cohesive. Turning a simple joke about wigs into a complete audiovisual concept, and it won best music video in the hackathon!
