Inspiration

Usually, if we decide which restaurant to eat, which attraction to go,we just take smartphones out of our pockets, open apps like Yelp, Tripadvisor to make our decisions based on people's ratings and reviews. But honestly, you only consider the ratings and pictures instead of diving into those verbose(perhaps good) text reviews right? Since don't want to spend too much time doing "research" to spoil your good moods. Fast and relax is our first option. Also we might not find the place was as good as we expected from the ratings, pictures, and reviews.Ratings could be forged.Pictures could be edited. Reviews could added randomly based on people's feelings. People need a more direct way to know what the place really is.

What it does

WUsight originated from this simple fact and aimed to provide a convenient and fast way to share reviews with other travelers, which are sights(short videos).Different from the traditional mode to bring people to the location-based reviews, it is actually a location-oriented platform to let users show their direct emotions and personality. The videos can be serious or funny, can be public or customized, can be all your want if you really see, hear, experience at that place. If you think what you feel is meaningful, just post it on WUsight and let other viewers to decide if it is interesting.

How I built it

We build both front end and back end to accomplish a cloud based platform. We exploited both mobile and web applications. In front end, we used objective-c to do ios programming and php, javascript for the web programming.

Challenges I ran into

How to connect front end and back end together sharing as much module as possible,to speed up developing time. Another thing is how we came up a good innovative idea.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

We build both web and mobile developments. Hard task, but high efficiency.

What I learned

We learned how to communicate with group members and how to distribute work.

What's next for Wu Sight

We wanna continue work on our ideas!
