Inspiration
This project was inspired in light of the current difficult times.
What it does
Developed a website to predict the number of positive cases and deaths due to COVID-19 in any specific region in Michigan as well as predict the numbers for a date in the future using statistical data analysis
How I built it
Used React, CSS, HTML for the frontend/UI and primarily JavaScript for the backend.
Challenges I ran into
Learned to use React for the first time while working on the code. It was challenging to employ the use of React with little to no background in it but my team and I chose to use React regardless of the lack of experience with the hope of gaining additional experience collectively.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
With this project, Quaranteam won 3rd place in the WSU Hackathon.
