Inspiration

Biology suggests that whenever we see that 'special someone 😍' in our life our heartbeat suddenly jumps up along with an increase in body temperature. These indications are what our project is based upon. Using them it helps you to recognize (and confirm) your love for a person (although we don't guarantee vice-versa 😂).

What is The Valentine Sherlock

The Valentine Sherlock is a hardware hack built using an Arduino UNO R3. It constantly checks your heartbeat and body temperature and displays it to an LCD (16X2) Display. Whenever the device senses a sudden increase in your heartbeat and body temperature it automatically checks for the presence of an other person standing nearby with the help of an ultrasonic sensor and after confirming it lets you know with the lighting up of a red LED which is the cue for you to make your move.

Challenges we ran into

The biggest challenge was the unavailability of parts. We had the Arduino UNO R3 board but did not have a majority of sensors to be used. This is why we had to built the circuit and test the code using an Arduino Simulator.
