Creating this project was a challenging yet rewarding experience. My inspiration stemmed from a mix of creativity and existing works—specifically, the atmospheric gameplay of Slender Man, which gave me the idea for the game's mechanics. I combined this influence with creative freedom to build a unique storyline while conducting research to ensure accuracy where needed.
The process was particularly difficult due to my limited knowledge of code blocks. However, I used Trimesh assets and tools like Meshy—a text-to-3D website—to bring my vision to life. The centerpiece of my project came directly from Meshy, where I experimented with prompts to get the correct output.
While I'm happy with how most of the project turned out, I recognize that my script could use improvement. This was my first real attempt at game development—previously, I had only watched others build games or created small "hangout" spaces. Despite the challenges, I persevered, learning more about asset integration, coding workflows, and the importance of iteration.
This experience has inspired me to continue exploring game creation for platforms like Meta, as I see exciting opportunities for growth and creativity. Moving forward, I aim to refine my skills and push myself to create even better projects.
I want to extend a heartfelt thank you for the 2-hour extension. It truly made a difference for me, as I had been moving throughout the entire month of the competition. Having that extra time allowed me to finalize my project and put my best effort into it. I’m incredibly grateful for the understanding and support!
