  Our project in Framer

Inspiration

Our inspiration was from people asking important questions about the world around them and not knowing who the trusted sources are for getting information on that topic.

What it does

This app has a list of buttons, one for each social issue topic. CLicking a button will take you to the entry for that social issue. The content for each entry pulls from the API of a trusted source on that topic.

How we built it

We designed the look in Figma and made an interactive prototype in Framer.

Challenges we ran into

Our team had never used these tools before so we spent a lot of time learning how to use the tools. We did not know what tool to jump to after we finished in Figma to start the coding process.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We worked together well. Across multiple continents and time zones, we took turns leading the project and communicated effectively to divide up tasks. Every contributed excellent ideas and we all listened to each other and honored everyone's input.

What we learned

We learned that design is an essential but difficult part of the app development process. We learned how to use new tools (Figma and Framer.) We learned to be brave and speak up about our ideas even when we weren't sure they would work.

What's next for Worldvolution

We want to stay in touch with each other so we can finish making a real functional app.
