Inspiration
We were inspired by challenges women face on an everyday basis in our daily lives, living in a world designed for men.
What it does
World For Her informs the public of safety issues women face in areas of medicine, transportation, and tools/equipment usage, and provides solutions to overcome these obstacles.
How we built it
We researched topics, gathered resources, and coded the website on Visual Studio.
Challenges we ran into
We had very limited html experience and none of us had ever made a website before, so we had to figure out how to build one from scratch in 24 hours.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Despite having almost no html experience, this being our very first hackathon, and having trouble with almost every step of the process, we persevered and ultimately succeeded in creating our very first website.
What we learned
We learned how to use html, how to use github, how to collaborate in a stressful environment, how to circumvent obstacles in a time crunch, and that hackathons are really fun!
What's next for World For Her
A section of World For Her is dedicated towards user suggestions, so we can continually update the website and keep it up to date in real time.
