Inspiration

The idea came up one day while playing a board game with some friends, when we realized that many of the questions that appeared were repeated.

So we decided to develop an idea to create a never-ending game. But in addition to that, we didn't want it to become obsolete over time. That's why we looked for the idea of integrating technology to something as traditional as a board game and make it practically endless.

World Challenge was born with the hope of bringing knowledge, education and culture in an out of the box, creative and fun way. And at the same time reward people for their knowledge thanks to blockchain technology.

We have always been fascinated by board games and technology, and since we were very young we hoped to develop a product that combined both aspects.

What it does

World Challenge is the first game that combines blockchain technology with something tangible like a board game.

We live in an educational system that can be quite outdated and we feel it's time for a change. World Challenge was born with the aim to offer a different way to learn and gain knowledge and culture.

We have designed a game to break with the traditional teaching model, where anyone can learn and have fun in a playful way in both a physical and digital format, promoting knowledge and abilities on a board.

This game is divided into 3 important branches.

The main part is the board game. It is a combination between a strategy game (Like Risk) and a general culture game (quiz, trivia).

We will have an APP that will allow users to play with anyone, no matter their location and to have access to an infinite number of questions so that you can always face different challenges. The main problem with board games that have questions, is that there comes a point where you get to know them by heart. With the app, you will have endless questions so you can play without getting bored and gaining more and more knowledge.

And on the other hand, the NFTs will allow you to keep track of your games so there is an identity where you can certify the level of knowledge you acquire in the game.

The NFTs will give you the opportunity to accumulate points to buy different skins and to gain skills within the game. The more games you win, the better reputation that your NFT will acquire.

This game covers 3 different types of target (the board game market, digital game market and NFT market) which is a great differential value compared to other projects.

By touching sectors such as education, innovation and art, it allows us to reach a wider field of users and offer them the opportunity to remunerate them for their knowledge.

The quiz has been designed for players to learn general culture while keeping in mind their age and level of knowledge, in order to be able to select among several categories and level difficulties. No one needs to be left out.

How we built it

World Challenge NFT project started over a year ago. During the first stage our main focus was on creating the board game that will be on sale in physical shops, and reaching strategic partnership with distributors and investors to guarantee enough funds to develop the project.

During the last 2-3 months we have been focusing on the blockchain strategy. We have decided to use Polygon for this as it offers everything we need and its cost effective for our end users in terms of gas fees.

We already started doing some tests to launch our first NFT collection that will be used in the mobile game, and are excited to meet potential partners in the space during the hackathon.

To develop the board game it has been necessary to build different departments:

-Strategic game design development -Legal services -Digital marketing -Graphic designers -Translators

Challenges we ran into

Blockchain is still a concept that very few people know about. After learning about it, seeing its potential and how it will impact the future, we were forced to put this technology to use in our project. There will come a time when blockchain will be a household name.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

One of our company's most important achievements is having been able to bring together the best professionals to be able to carry out our great project, thus creating the best team both in the video game industry and in Blockchain technology.

There are also many other achievements that make us proud, such as creating the first ever board game to incorporate Blockchain technology and at the same time being able to bring more people closer to this new technology.

This clearly motivates us to continue moving forward with our project and leads us to take the next step towards our vision and aims as a company.

What we learned

We have learned that technology opens the doors to a wonderful world and can be accessed with the touch of a button. A world where we can connect with anyone even if they are in the most remote part of the world.

Thanks to the world's largest encyclopedia, we have done our bit so that people have a more entertaining way to educate themselves and not stop acquiring knowledge.

What's next for World Challenge NFT

The game will be distributed worldwide, covering several countries in different continents. The first edition will be released in Spanish and English, but we are thinking of translating it into more languages very soon.

We want to be the first to add this new technology to a physical product to bring users to the blockchain world, in a tangible way.

This game will have different maps. On the one hand, we will start with Europe and America, and once the game is further developed we will expand the map to Asia and Africa.

In 5 years we hope to be a globally recognized company and that our game World Challenge NFT will be one of the biggest P2E games in the blockchain universe with millions of players and a prestige in the market that will not go unrecognized.
