Inspiration

The inspiration behind WorkMom Connect came from recognizing the challenges that working mothers face in balancing their careers and personal lives. We wanted to create a platform that not only empowers professional and non-professional women by providing job opportunities but also offers a supportive community to help them thrive in all aspects of life.

What it does

WorkMom Connect is a comprehensive web application that serves as a one-stop solution for working mothers. It enables women to apply for jobs suited to their skills and preferences while also allowing employers to post job listings specifically tailored to meet the needs of this talented workforce. Additionally, the platform features an AI-powered chatbot that provides instant support and guidance, enhancing the user experience

How we built it

How we built it: The platform was built using modern web development technologies and frameworks. We used HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for the front-end, ensuring a user-friendly and intuitive interface. The back-end was powered by a robust server-side technology stack, including Node.js and Express, while the job application and search functionalities were implemented using a database system. The AI chatbot was developed using natural language processing (NLP) and integrated using state-of-the-art conversational AI tools.

Challenges we ran into

Throughout the development process, we encountered several challenges. Integrating the AI chatbot seamlessly into the platform while maintaining its responsiveness and accuracy required extensive testing and fine-tuning. Additionally, ensuring the security of user data and maintaining a scalable infrastructure were significant technical hurdles that we had to overcome
