Briefly describe your project in relation to the design prompt

Our project allows for employees to communicate their issues and feelings freely through anonymous posts. It also allows teams to quickly communicate in one place, and gain advice from more experienced employees. This allows employees to feel more connected and release their negative emotions.

Describe your main design decisions and how they contribute to your product

We made the home page the place where all the comments and posts would be seen. It is the main purpose of the app, so it was made to be the first thing the user would see. The page includes both anonymous and public posts, providing freedom to the user to communicate how they want. They would end up feeling less frustrated with their job and more at ease when communicating freely and finding others are on the same page as them.

Inspiration

We were inspired by community discussion forums like Reddit, Twitter, and Yik Yak.

What it does

It allows CBRE employees to post anonymously and publicly to forums. It works for private messages between teammates. It allows people to ask questions and get advice from mentors.

How we built it

We looked at Reddit and Yik Yak, and based some of the design layout on those apps.

Challenges we ran into

We had to remove some ideas like a game tab and took a while on research and planning out the low-fi wireframes.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Message board and how the posts are formatted like Twitter and Reddit.

What we learned

We learned the importance of collaboration and working with limited time. We learned how to better communicate our ideas.
