Inspiration

We’ve all seen how developers manage code with Git — simple, organized, and efficient. But for creatives like designers, writers, and marketers, the same process is often chaotic: files named “final_v3_real_final_reallythisone.png”, dozens of versions floating in chats, and endless feedback loops.

We wanted to fix that. Our inspiration came from asking one question:

“What if creatives had their own version control system — one built for visuals, words, and ideas instead of code?”

That’s how WorkLoop was born — a tool that combines AI feedback and version tracking to simplify how creatives work, learn, and collaborate.

What it does

WorkLoop is a frontend prototype that demonstrates how version control and AI can revolutionize creative workflows.

  1. Dashboard Overview: View all creative projects and their versions in one organized space.
  2. Version History: Instantly see what changed between two versions through visual comparison.
  3. AI Feedback (Concept): Get smart suggestions for improving design balance, text clarity, or accessibility.
  4. AI Settings: Switch between AI models like GPT-4o and Gemini (conceptual).
  5. Integrations (Planned): Connect Figma, Notion, and Google Drive to make WorkLoop the creative world’s control center.

Even as a concept prototype, it clearly shows the future — GitHub for creatives, powered by AI.

How we built it

WorkLoop is built entirely with modern frontend tools that emphasize performance, design clarity, and interactivity. Frontend Framework: React.js (Vite for blazing-fast builds) UI Styling: TailwindCSS for flexible, responsive layouts

Everything is designed to showcase the product experience, even without a backend — so viewers can understand exactly how WorkLoop would function in reality.

Challenges we ran into

Creating a visual diff comparison system that feels real, even with mock data Designing an interface that looks powerful yet intuitive for non-technical users Making AI feedback feel authentic through static examples and copywriting Communicating the entire concept clearly through just a frontend demo

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Designed and built a fully functional prototype that clearly explains a complex idea Created a dashboard and workflow UI that feels natural for creative professionals Built interactive visual comparison views that demonstrate the power of “AI for creatives” Developed a clean, responsive design that feels product-ready Crafted a compelling narrative that connects emotion, usability, and innovation

What we learned

UI/UX can powerfully communicate a product idea — even without a backend. Simplicity and clarity often matter more than advanced tech when telling a story. Good design bridges the gap between creative and technical worlds. Hackathons aren’t just about coding — they’re about explaining vision through experience. AI-powered tools can meaningfully assist creatives, not replace them.

What's next for Workloop

WorkLoop is currently a conceptual prototype, but the vision goes much further:

  1. Build the backend to support real-time version tracking
  2. Integrate real AI models (GPT-4o, Gemini) for live design and writing feedback
  3. Develop plugins for Figma, Google Docs, Canva, and Notion
  4. Enable team collaboration with threaded feedback and activity history
  5. Launch WorkLoop Cloud, where creative teams can manage all projects seamlessly

WorkLoop is more than a project — it’s a glimpse into the future of creative collaboration.
