Inspiration
Millions of people are in some quarantined environment for a prolonged period in this pandemic. How to enable people to feel happy and not be depressed by the depressive atmosphere?
We aim at utilizing music, a culture so popular in the modern way of living, as a way to massage our mind and remove ourselves from the stress we might not even be aware of.
What it does
Muser collects biometric data from Biometric wearables can provide the biometric information, while large music streaming services provide a library of treatment. By combining the two assets, Muser aims at making music therapies quantifiable and reliable and curating a better mind-massage experience.
Muser's data-driven approach comprises three major parts: ‘Track, ‘Analyze’, and ‘Recommend’. On the biometric wearables, Muser tracks biometric signals, such as respiratory rate, and heart rate. All data collection is automated through the Oura API.
On the Music Streaming interface, we track music attributes and characteristics. Then, this information is collected and uploaded onto Muser’s cloud platform. Muser makes use of Machine Learning and pattern recognition to study patterns of the patient’s biometric response, and that of the music he or she streams, Muser will make correlations and scientific recommendations according to unique contexts. Muser also makes use of an existing music database based on Therapeutic to run its analysis.
What's next for Muser
Muser needs to curate the best music experience for stress-relief music for work from home professionals or patients quarantined because of symptoms.
Our purpose here at Global Hack
We hope to develop content-aware capabilities to Muser, the data-driven music therapy service. We will conduct context and user profiling under the framework Muser will adopt to accommodate those situations and customize the music listening experience through enhancing our algorithms.
