Inspiration
This project was made because the tool we usually used for digital schooling, Google Classroom, didn't do enough to show us the due dates of everything we needed to do. Everything was always split and separated in different classroom pages and only the ToDo section had everything at once.
What it does
This project is meant to be a platform where all assignments and tasks can be put in one place, ordered by date, and submitted or filtered to hide them once you are done.
How I built it
It was built with an Express server and I plan to run it on Heroku within the next couple minutes.
Challenges I ran into
There were challenges planning through this since altogether it is a very large project to be able to implement so a focus had to be put on how it looks and displays on the site rather than error handling and fetching from various places.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
The home page look somewhat aesthetically pleasing and that is very nice to be able to have been created in the span of the hackathon. Also being able to actually host a Node application was a very nice experience since now, at least it's possible.
What I learned
Heroku was a new experience in this project and learning how to use it was very quick and painless.
What's next for WorkFlow
Hopefully, next up, an actual administration site can be made to change the data being displayed and place files in google drive for integration with google classroom. It would also be nice to show the entire time range at once on the sidebar but there wasn't time to figure that out.
