Inspiration

My work was spread across different projects, notes, and conversations with AI assistants. Sometimes I worked on my own. When I returned to a project, I had to work out what had happened, where I had stopped, and what to do next. I wanted one place to keep that context.

What it does

Work Tracker organizes ongoing projects into goals and steps. Completing a step records a dated achievement without ending the whole project. Plans can change: steps can be added, moved, deferred, or reopened while earlier progress stays in the history. Notes, summaries, next actions, deadlines, and achievements help me return to work with less confusion.

How I built it

I built the project with Codex and the Devpost Learn Skill Pack, using questions and planning documents to turn the idea into a working application. The repository includes the scope, product requirements, and technical specification. The current app stores work in the browser and supports backup and restore, with English and Arabic interfaces.

What I learned and the challenges

I learned to think outside the box and look at the tool through the eyes of the people using it. The sessions helped me think about what the tool was for and how to make it easier to use. The hardest part was turning something I personally needed into a tool other people could use, while keeping it flexible enough for different kinds of work.
