Work Order System

This is a basic order system where the telephonic assistant to a delivered can take some information and send to a specific deliverer by Email and inform to the client some basic data about deliverer.

Inspiration

I want to worked with Databases and implement some APIs.

What it does

It's a basic system to order a combo product of a certain local company where the person who attends a call take the order information then if she press Make Order button, the deliverer assigned received a email and the client a SMS with specific information.

How we built it

I built the GUI with JavaFX implementing the MVC, and in this way I set the button instructions like call the APIs and databases.

Challenges I ran into

I've never worked with Gradle in my Java projects, then I didn't know a lot of things about it. I've had problems to use the JDBC Driver.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

Firstly, I achieved to implement two APIs, one to send emails and another one to send SMS. Secondly, I used databases and finally I worked with Gradle.

What we learned

I learned databases, APIs implementation and Gradle.

What's next for Work Order System

I hope to improve the GUI with CSS3 and add a login scene.
