WordTrail AR — spatial phonics for SPECS

WordTrail AR is a work-in-progress concept for an educational glasses experience. It proposes placing large sound stones on a virtual tabletop, where learners select letters in order to build short words (CAT and SUN). Correct selections illuminate progress, mistakes get gentle feedback, and completed words trigger a celebratory reveal.

Audience: young phonics learners accompanied by educators or family.

Design focus: place learning objects next to the task in world space, use large forgiving one-pinch targets, show content only when needed, and keep the learner's eyes up rather than replicating a floating mobile screen.

Current implemented prototype: a runnable browser-based simulator plus tested JavaScript word-trail logic and a preliminary Lens Studio controller scaffold. The full project handoff and provisional design brief are available in the public repository.

Important—native Lens still pending: The official Devpost Learn plan-lens learner-led workflow, CLAD agent build, Lens Studio MCP, actual SPECS Base Template project, LEAF tests, and public YouTube recording of real Lens Studio Interactive Preview have not yet been completed. This is a draft, not a finished hackathon entry. I will not represent the browser prototype as a working Lens Studio demo.

What I'm working toward: demonstrating the full interaction as a genuine CLAD-built native SPECS Lens, then recording and submitting the eligible video.
