Inspiration
We where inspired by word building games and developing a new take on the classic brain games. We wanted to build a fun game that made you think and tested your word abilities.
What it does
Wordstack is a game where you try to stack the highest word towers using the given letters.
How we built it
We used vanilla Javascript and CSS.
Challenges we ran into
We ran into a few technical challenges from getting the words to properly place, overlapping to interactivity and usability but managed to learn many things along the way improving our coding abilities, design and teamwork skills.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of being able to build the minimal and unique game given our busy schedules. We are also proud that we where able to work effectively from concepting to prototyping in Figma to building the application.
What we learned
We learned to work as a team, prototyping the early design in Figma then translating the designs to code.
What's next for WordStack - Can you stack the highest?
We look to greatly improve the functionality, interactivity and customizations as well as add animations and more fun elements to the game.
