As a developer who moved to Germany, I was faced with the daunting task of learning German. Traditional methods like flashcards didn't resonate with me, and I craved a more interactive, tech-driven approach. This challenge sparked the idea for WordSnap, an app that revolutionizes language learning.

Using the power of the Apple Vision framework, I developed WordSnap to allow users to snap a photo of any text, which the app then identifies and translates. The integration of Apple's Natural Language framework was crucial, enabling users to hear pronunciations with built-in text-to-speech, enhancing their learning experience.

How we built it

I took two weeks off from work (entered the world of indie dev - again!), designed the UI/UX in just two days, and developed the app during the rest of my vacation!
