Inspiration

The difficulties I had faced when trying to learn Spanish in high school

What it does

Gets a definition of a word, and gives feedback when trying to practice using the word in a sentence

How we built it

Using HTML, CSS, and Javascript, with Kiro AI Assistance, Google Gemini for language translation, and dictionaryapi.dev for the dictionary api.

Challenges we ran into

Making sure that the AI would be able to give proper feedback when working with multiple languages.

Being able to have something workable and ready to present

What's next for WordLearn

Having access to a multi-lingual dictionary to better support learning in multiple languages. Further tweaking AI feedback to be able to give advice that can build long term language skills.
