Wordie

Inspiration

Typing and reading are important work activities. Thus, in order to speed up the typing, reading or learning to pronounce words process, we would like to introduce Wordie Pack. 

Benefit of Wordie:

• Help writers annotate and explain words better
• Help students study English and write better
• Is great for academic, writing, document preparation process
• Is suitable and good for anything that is related to writing
• Encourage better writing skills and speed up the writing process
• Help users find synonyms and anonyms of words faster
• Help users study the pronunciation of the words while writing

What it does

Wordie pack has one formula and one column for the Wordie pack. Wordie formula allows you to know about the phonetics, how to pronounce the words, the meaning, and definition of the word. Wordies also allows you to find the synonym and antonyms of the word. 

You can use Wordie to:

• Learn the pronunciation of a word: Hover the word that is enclosed by function “Wordie” and see the pronunciation instruction of that word.
• Find Synonym and Antonym of the words
• Use the formula as an annotation tool for readers to understand the words and the meaning

How we built it

We built the Woride pack by using Coda, Javascript, API from dictionaryapi.dev, and Pack Studio. 

Challenges we ran into

We had challenges to get the info from the API and split out the results. 

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We were able to build the pack and publish it. 

What we learned

We learnt to use Pack Studio, API, and Javascript to build a coda pack. 

What's next for Wordie

We would like to define in different languages other than English
