Word Hunter Helper

Have you ever lost at word hunt before? Well now you won't! Word Hunt Helper is an iOS app capable of detecting your word hunt game and getting all possible valid words to make sure you usually win!

Inspiration

We lost at word hunt several times.

What it does

The program takes the current word hunt board as an image, uses OCR to process the text from that image into letters, and algorithmically evaluates all playable words for the player to then manually input.

How we built it

Work in progress: still currently working on the backend processing of the text

Challenges we ran into

Too many: Learning Swift and Firebase, trying to figure out how to integrate the Cloud Vision API using Firebase Cloud Functions, working around iOS strict app development regulations, did not finish :(

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We tried our best and learned :)

What we learned

Never back down, never give up (we gave up)... Browsing documentation endlessly, growing more familiarized with SwiftUI and Firebase.

Front end functionality, still need to correct back end functionality
