Tomiwa and I (Ethan) started with a common interest in The New York Time’s game ‘Wordle.’ We both had been playing it since it had been released on the platform, and had recently found other web games that were commonly called ‘Wordle Clones.’ Since Tomiwa already had experience making some of these Wordle Clones, we started by wanting to make the Octordle, a game where you have 13 tries to solve 8 Wordles. He used some of his old code and tried to remake it, now needing 7 more screens and many more boxes for letters to be entered into. When Joshua joined, we quickly realized that making 8 Wordles would be impossible. We then decided to make the Quordle, a game where you have to solve 4 Wordles. This was much easier, especially now that David had joined our team. He and I were able to fairly quickly build the word list, and Joshua had started working on the design, while Tomiwa began changing his Wordle code to fit the 4 games needed to be played at once. After lunch was where things went downhill. David left, and after several distractions, the HTML and CSS design had broken with the addition of Tomiwa’s JavaScript. We had planned to add some twists, like a timer, to differentiate it from the original Quordle, but we didn't have the time. Eventually, we just had to revert to Tomiwa’s Wordle he had perfected earlier in the day.
