Inspiration
WOOP is a method of creating goals that you will achieve. It stands for Wish, Outcome, Obstacles, Plan. By thinking over each category, people are more likely to go through with completing their goal.
What it does
It leads children through the WOOP process and has them review it. It is a fun, engaging, and educational program.
How I built it
I used Scratch because that is a kid-friendly language and allows me to make designs. I drew each sprite.
Challenges I ran into
I was originally going to use Pyret, but it didn't have enough user input capability.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
It works and looks really cute and put together. I did all the graphics myself. I also think this is a wonderful education tool because goal-setting is something that children need to learn early.
What I learned
I learned how hard graphic design is, and learned how to research languages to find the best fit for what I want.
What's next for Woop De Doo
I would like to add an option to do a second WOOP, as well as a memory storage option (but I would have to use a different language for that.) I would also add choices for an animation. Instead of a seed, kids could choose a racecar or a ice cream sundae!
