Inspiration

Although there are more social-medias then ever before, many people feel lonely. Communication more and more takes place in the digital world neglecting real world encounters between people.

We want to build a simple platform which encourages spontaneous real world get-togethers between people that might have never met before.

What it does

It provides you with a map of activities around your location. You can self host events and also participate in events of others.

Frontend: Angular + Material + Cordova Backend: MongoDB + Node.js + express.js

Challenges we ran into

System of trust is required to prevent spam and abuse. How to monetize the app without frustrating the users (Ads).
