Inspiration

The US has marked a harrowing milestone: It recorded its highest one-day number of Covid-19 infections on this Friday at more than 83,000. The situation become worse and worse. A New York Times survey of more than 1,700 American colleges and universities has revealed more than 214,000 cases and at least 75 deaths since the pandemic began. So how can I use code to grab more people attention on Covid?

What it does

My miniproject provides an interesting and easy way to track real time Covid-19 Data. I aim for using cute and clear interfaces to get more people involved in. Hope more and more people realise how seriously the situation is.

How I built it

The all skills used in this project are pretty new to me. I started with ReactJS Library, try to understand the javascrip code at first. And it took me a lot of time to learn and adjust all the format concepts. By requesting api from covidAPI, I got the real time COVID data. And fetch data by calling function. I also learned how to swith to different pages. Besides, I refered to NewYork times database and worldometer.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

At first, I am so happly that I overcome my shortage in this Hacks as a beginner.I knew nothing about what should I do. Although I thought to give up when I was refused to join teams, I created something with zero exprience finally. Secondly, I am really satisfied with my design. I inspired by dogs who are people's best friends. And I made the scout dog as a protagonist to go through the whole project.

What I learned

I learned JS,HTML,CSS, Json and API. I practice debug and open my mind how to improve in the future

What's next for Woof

At first, there are still something can improve in woof. I want to use google API and crowdsourcing to create a communicate platform in the community . Besides, I plan to make personal QRcode which will identify people's health condition is safe or high risk, because your QRcode will include the all personal activity track. It will make easier alerts for Public healthy and relief govenment workload.
