Inspiration
Safety and security issues remain a palpable threat to women and girls, yet it is an often overlooked issue. Lack of awareness of women's rights often leads to unreported crimes.
What it does
WooCare is a platform that facilitates women to file complaints online without physically reporting to any institution and allows one to be a part of the change and join passionate women or Start their own circle. #WomenforWomen
How I built it
I built it using HTML, CSS and JavaScript. I also used Firebase to store database for a Complaint form.
Challenges I ran into
Our team was relatively new to firebase. And it took us a lot of time to integrate firebase into our website.
What's next for WooCare
Since WooCare collects data from forms. Any institutions such as Police Stations, UN Women, NHRC Women can integrate the site with their organisation. They can track the nature of crimes against women in the respective region and hence come up with robust solutions to counter crimes against women in the respective regions accordingly.
