Inspiration The inspiration for building the Women's Rights Chatbot came from the everyday challenges women face when seeking information about their rights. I noticed that many women, especially in rural and underrepresented areas, are not aware of the legal protections and resources available to them. This motivated me to use technology to create a solution that could educate and empower women in an accessible way.

What it does The chatbot is designed to provide information and support regarding women's rights. It answers questions related to legal rights, domestic violence, workplace harassment, education, and more. It acts as a safe space where users can learn, ask questions, and find reliable resources without fear or judgment.

How we built it We built the chatbot using natural language processing (NLP) models integrated with a custom dataset that includes verified information on women's rights and laws. The backend was developed using Python and Flask, while the frontend was designed for simplicity and accessibility. We also ensured that the chatbot can be accessed through web and mobile platforms to reach more users.

Challenges we ran into One of the biggest challenges was ensuring the accuracy and sensitivity of the information provided by the chatbot. Women's rights are a sensitive topic, and it was important that the answers were not only correct but also empathetic and supportive. We also faced technical challenges in training the NLP model to understand user intent clearly, especially when questions were phrased differently.

Accomplishments that we're proud of We are proud of the fact that the chatbot is functional, helpful, and easy to use. The positive feedback from early users, who said it gave them clarity on their rights and made them feel more confident, was very encouraging. It’s fulfilling to know that our project has the potential to make a real difference in someone’s life.

What we learned This project taught us the importance of combining technology with empathy. Building something for social impact requires not just technical knowledge, but also a deep understanding of the people it is intended to help. We also learned a lot about NLP, chatbot design, and user experience optimization.

What's next for Women's Right Chatbot We plan to expand the chatbot's capabilities by adding more languages and regional laws to make it more inclusive. Our goal is to partner with NGOs and government organizations to integrate this chatbot into their support systems. We also want to include voice recognition features so that even those with limited literacy can use it with ease.
