Many women, especially in rural and semi-urban areas, are unaware of their basic legal rights and resources available for their protection. We wanted to create a tool that breaks barriers of language, accessibility, and awareness — empowering every woman with the knowledge she deserves.
The Women’s Rights Chatbot is an AI-powered assistant that provides instant and easy-to-understand information about women’s rights, safety laws, and helpline services. It supports local languages like Marathi, Hindi, and English, enabling users from diverse backgrounds to interact comfortably. The chatbot is available 24/7 and can be integrated into websites or mobile apps.
Frontend: React.js with responsive UI for smooth user interaction. Backend: python for server-side operations. Data Source: JSON files and APIs with curated women’s rights information. Language Support: Multi-language support using i18n and simple NLP processing. Deployment: Hosted on a secure platform with easy scalability.
Creating meaningful, simplified responses from complex legal language. Ensuring multi-language support without losing context or tone. Designing a user interface that is accessible to low-tech users. Building trust in a digital tool meant for sensitive topics.
Successfully deployed a working chatbot in multiple languages. Made legal and safety resources accessible to non-English speakers. Created a safe, anonymous, and judgment-free digital space for women.
How to structure legal content for non-legal audiences. The importance of inclusive design and accessibility. Integration of NLP and chatbot flows using React and JSON. How tech can genuinely empower underrepresented communities.
Integrate AI to handle more complex queries and real-time legal updates. Partner with NGOs and government platforms for wider outreach. Launch as a WhatsApp and Telegram bot for broader accessibility.
