Inspiration
While I did research about problems faced by people, I understood that people (especially women) are suffering with problems of not being independent and financially. So If we are able to provide a platform for every women irrespective of education , I think the percentage of women who are working will gradually increase.
What it does
Users can post a job and skills needed for it, Salary and Point of contact. This data is sent to backend into the Mongo db database. And using this data Job opportunities are posted on one page. Job seekers can post their work or projects and recruiters will be able to contact them.
How we built it
I used React, Material-UI, Redux for frontend and Express for backend. MongoDB for data base. figma for prototype designing
Challenges we ran into
Integrating front end with backend api using redux. As it is first time I'm doing a full stack application it was a bit challenging.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
🏅A platform made for women to increase their confidence and help them with opportunities. Learned New skills like making Clean UI and mongodb.
What we learned
Mongo db Integration with Node. And using Material UI with React. Integrating front end and backend using redux for api calls🏆
What's next for Womenista
🎯Adding more features like mentorship program for under represented people and women who took career gap and🎯 Integrating some webtools for live streaming where interviews can take place if they liked the profile.
