Inspiration
As women in STEM ourselves, we have seen gender discrimination in this field. We made this website to inspire and empower women so they do not have to go through the same thing.
What it does
We included statistics, important women in STEM, our mission statement, social media groups, a historical timeline, present achievements, checklists of what we can do, multiple resources, the point of view of women and underrepresented minorities, and an about us page.
How we built it
We originally made it on Qoom, but later moved to Github. We used HTML and CSS.
Challenges we ran into
We faced some programming difficulties such as pictures not uploading properly, but we fixed it and it ended up fine!
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are very proud of the historical aspects because it is very important for us to understand the past so we can change the future!
What we learned
We learned a lot of pre-existing sites that empower women so we are very excited to get involved with even more women in STEM around the world!
What's next for Women: The Budding Flowers Of STEM
Our goal is to create a community where women can get together and share ideas and we hope to further engage our audience through our social media platforms.
