Inspiration

This is a platform which is built using HTML, CSS, JS, JQuery and is built to help immigrant women find support. We wanted to make a platform for women to find other people who can help them. Our idea was to provide support using money transfer, using google maps to locate support nearby.

What it does

Connects immigrant women to support, resources and emergency help. Our resources include - social media which can immediately help using messaging or posts. -money transfer using venmo and credit card for people in urgent need of money. -google maps location for people who need support from nearby location. -general resources tab to help people connect to resources by US government and other NGOs.

How I built it

Using web dev technologies like HTML/CSS, Javascript, jQuery, Google API

Challenges I ran into

Connecting Google API to host website.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

Creating a prototype and understanding challenges faced by immigrant women. We used blogs and newsletter feature to create a community for people to read stories of other women and feel that they are not alone in this journey.

What I learned

A lot of things, mostly detailed web dev process
