✨ Inspiration

In today’s world, people feel increasingly disconnected from those who make decisions. Veroma was born from a bold idea:
What if every person, anywhere in the world, could raise their voice—and be heard, locally or globally?

Most civic tech platforms are confined to local governments or national systems. Veroma reimagines public participation, enabling anyone to create or support a vote, suggestion, or complaint—from a neighborhood issue to a global cause.

🚀 What we built

We created a global civic engagement platform where users can:

  • 📢 Submit public votes, complaints, or proposals
  • 📍 Participate in issues based on geographic location
  • 🔥 Discover trending topics in their area or around the world
  • 🧭 Be visible to real representatives, community leaders, or global movements

Built with scalability and neutrality in mind, Veroma is designed to be fast, inclusive, and adaptable—no matter the language or culture.

🧠 What we learned

Building for global civic participation taught us:

  • People everywhere want to be heard—but need tools that feel local, intuitive, and safe
  • Scalability must go hand-in-hand with cultural sensitivity
  • Identity validation is a challenge—but also an opportunity for innovation

🧱 Challenges we faced

  • Designing, multilingual UI that works globally
  • Avoiding reliance on national ID systems
  • Moderating content without suppressing freedom of speech
  • Building fast, scalable infrastructure for real-time engagement

🌍 What's next

  • ✅ MVP launch with real local votes in test communities
  • 🔐 Identity validation via experimental, non-document-based systems
  • 🤝 Strategic partnerships with NGOs and civic tech groups
  • 🚀 Evolve into the global standard for borderless civic expression
