Inspiration

The inspiration was to create an environment for people to share wishes and centralize all their desires in one area.

What it does

This allows users to connect with each other and build wishlists for events . You can add friends, customize wishlists, contribute to others wishes or certain items on their wishlist, and even curate wishlists for others for future events.

How we built it

We built the basic layout of the web app using HTML/CSS, we also used tools like Adobe XD and InvisionApp.com to visualize the main functionalities of the application.

Challenges we ran into

everyone in the group had little to no experience with backend or even front end developing, so we were learning on the fly and trying to apply what we learned in a short amount of time.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I am proud that me and my team were able to communicate and come up with a cohesive idea, come up with what that idea would look like, address common problems that users would run into, and in the end, design a product that would work for the average person

What we learned

we learned that in order to develop any kind of application, we need to acquire a bigger knowledge on the more popular languages used to develop web applications in modern times. It was hard coming from only knowing C++ to trying to do HTML/CSS, and even Java, which we never implemented because of time constraints.

What's next for WishList

We want to recommend products to users based on what they are already wishing for, and we also hope to use this information and give it to big companies like Amazon to learn from what our users desire the most. This application could be very useful for companies to advertise based on what users post within their wishlists.
