PC Particker and the desire to never miss a deal!
What it does
It allows you to build a cross-website wish list through a built int chrome extension and it monitors prices for you! (and without the spam)
How we built it
We set out a ground plan of what we would like to accomplish, then set up a road map to get us to the finish line. With none of us knowing javascript, we were bogged down often, but we managed to overcome many of the challenges we faced!
Challenges I ran into
Learning javascript and understanding how callback functions in conjunction with the chrome extension library work. It took us a lot of time to fully understand it.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
Getting as much turned in as we are. We are very happy with what the final product is.
What we learned
We never want to be javascript developers! While the project was fun and we learned much, we both prefer java or c++.
What's next for WishAble
It will be shelved. We have other exciting plans for our own projects!
