Inspiration

The inspiration behind Wisebot comes from the philosophical inquiry into human understanding and perception, akin to Plato's allegory of the cave. In a world often polarized by binary viewpoints, our aim is to create a digital platform that transcends these limitations, offering a more holistic and nuanced perspective on global events. By leveraging diverse philosophical, cultural, and emotional lenses, we strive to bring to light a more complex, yet unified understanding of the world around us.

What it does

Wisebot synthesizes input from various news sources and expert LLMs specialized in different fields of arts, humanities, and emotional spectrums. It provides users with a neutral factual summary of real-world events, enriched with contextual background and multiple viewpoints. Ultimately, it delivers a thought-provoking, unified statement that encourages deeper reflection beyond the surface-level narratives.

How we built it

We constructed Wisebot around a modular architecture, integrating multiple expert LLMs each trained in specific domains such as philosophy, cultural studies, and political science. These modules analyze inputs independently, allowing for a comprehensive understanding of events from multiple perspectives. The core system then synthesizes these analyses, balancing and refining the output to ensure neutrality and depth.

Challenges we ran into

Navigating the ethical and moral implications of synthesizing human emotions and experiences through AI was a significant challenge. Ensuring the equitable representation of diverse viewpoints, especially in a landscape where some perspectives are more documented than others, required innovative solutions in data collection and processing. Measuring expertise and achieving genuine neutrality also presented complex obstacles.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are particularly proud of developing an AI model that appreciates the complexity of human experience and cultural diversity. Wisebot's ability to present a multifaceted view of events, challenging users to consider perspectives beyond their own, marks a significant step forward in promoting understanding and empathy across divides.

What we learned

What's next for Wisebot

We plan to expand its dataset to include more nuanced perspectives and further develop its synthesis algorithms to better navigate the complexities of global events. By continuously improving Wisebot, we hope to foster a platform that not only informs but also enlightens, bridging divides and promoting a more unified global perspective.
