Wise Buys

Inspiration

Being college students wanting to save money by choosing the cheapest grocery store

What it does

It takes your grocery list and compares the prices of your trip at multiple different stores in the area. It also provides the direction to the store.

How we built it

We used Figma to plan our prototype, processed data in python, and created completely original app in SwiftUI.

Challenges we ran into

Finding a good data set, parsing the data, dealing with GitHub

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Finishing our app, using real data, and linking out to Google Maps

What we learned

How to create designs in Figma, data processing in python, coding in a group using GitHub branches

What's next for Wise Buys

More grocery stores based on users location, implementing tracking of weekly and monthly grocery budget, and history of past lists
