Inspiration
Our own experiences. We realized that it can be overwhelming to find the resources you need in a panic. A lot of mental health apps also need subscriptions or aren't very good which makes it very inaccessible and not helpful, so by keeping the GUI simple and all parts of the app free, we can help spread awareness and help more people.
What it does
It has easy access to hotlines, games to help ease the mind, and a simple library of links to reliable resources on mental health.
How we built it
We built it using block code in the App Lab in code.org. Google Doc
Challenges we ran into
Figuring out which platform to use. We had a lot of stuff to learn and ran into many difficulties doing simple tasks so in the end we decided to use block code and it helped with the process tremendously. There are also some limitations to the code so we put some stuff as placeholders for a proof of concept.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Figuring out how to use a new platform.
What we learned
How to use this new platform. It's really good at making a demo mock up for a proof of concept.
What's next for MindLine
Adding more resources, hotlines, and games.
