Our project objective was to create a website of tools that can help fantasy soccer league players make the most of their budget and have the highest likelihood of winning the prize money. Our score prediction model uses in-depth player statistics to optimize budget choices made by our user based on player’s value at a given time. In addition, our player similarity model will help new users understand our player suggestions by comparing to similar players. Finally, both of these tools were combined into one easy-to-use website that will provided additional education and informative material helping our users maximize their fantasy soccer potential, as well as sharing our passion for the sport. Not only are we aiming to solve the problem of information asymmetry in the market, but also level the playing field between fantasy players who have a lot of experience versus fantasy players who are just getting into managing a team. We tested our model at the end of the semester and saw that we scored one singular point off of the optimal roster for a given week which would win in practically any fantasy soccer competition!
